Well, we did talk to the birth mom yesterday. She had just went to the dr. She is now 3cm and her cervix is softened. The dr. reports that the baby is about 81/2 lbs. She reports that she is in alot pain at times from all the contractions. She is ready for it to happen and is uncomfortable. She continues to remain firm in her decision to place her child up for adoption. This made us feel reassured. She is wavering on if we can be in the delivery room or not. I completely understand this. The last child she placed for adoption, she allowed the adoptive parents to be in the room. They videoed the baby coming out and that made her angry. So, we are just glad she wants us there.
After our conversation, Steven and I both felt restless. We want to experience all that God has in this journey, but we are so ready! We know His timing is perfect. Our social worker reassured us that now until the hospital scene will be the hardest part for us. So, retail therapy helped me later-I bought her the silkiest, pink blanket at TJMax.
